There are outfits you carefully plan, and then there are days when one good necklace can do most of the work for you. I vote for more of those days.

Rows of small, flat colorful beads give this necklace that wonderful striped look, with everything from turquoise and pink to red, purple, green and yellow mixed together. Then right in the center is a big polished silver heart that changes the whole thing. The color keeps it playful, the silver gives it some shine, and together they make a necklace that's hard to look at without smiling.

I especially like that it doesn't feel overly sweet despite the heart. It's bright, bold and a little unexpected, which makes it much more interesting than playing it safe.

How I'd Wear It

I'd love this with a chambray dress, a black tank under a lightweight jacket, or even a striped top if you're willing to ignore that little voice telling you there might already be enough going on. Pick up one of the colors somewhere else in the outfit if you want, but I wouldn't work too hard at it. This necklace has already volunteered to do the interesting part.
